When Should I Come?
You are invited to our normal service that begins at 10:30. We encourage you to show up 15-20 minutes earlier to give us a chance to show you around! Our hospitality team is prepared to answer questions, to help check your kids into Sunday School if needed and to make you feel at home.
How Should I Dress For Church?
We are more concerned about you meeting with Jesus and being built-up in the faith than with what you wear. You will see people on a typical Sunday dressed as much as a shirt and tie all the way to sweat pants and a hoody. Most of the congregation dresses casual--slacks, jeans, t-shirts, boots and jeans, sneakers, sandals, etc.
What's Available For My Children?
We believe that God wants our little ones to come to Him, therefore, we provide a Children's Ministry broken down according to age. Because of this, the children are taught on a level that they will best understand the Word of God. Age-appropriate classes are provided for infants through Junior High School, taught by teachers who LOVE JESUS and want to SHOW THAT LOVE to our children. The safety of our children is also of our utmost concern. We have a sign in procedure allowing only the permitted parents/guardians to sign in and sign out their child. Security is ALWAYS watching the classrooms and hallways of the children as well.
What Should I Expect During A Church Service?
Service begins with a time of worship. Our worship is a mixture of contemporary praise music with an occasional hymn. We have a great worship team where you may expect on any given Sunday to hear drums, guitars, keyboard and vocalists who love to sing out to Jesus. We believe Jesus is worthy to be praised and as a church it is our goal to facilitate a time to connect with the Father through music! Our Pastor then follows with a specific message from the portion of scripture where we left off previously. Pastor Chris teaches straight from the Bible, line upon line, verse upon verse so that we don't miss anything that the Lord would want to speak to us. The first Sunday of every month we have a communion service in remembrance of what Jesus did for us on the Cross. You can sample Pastor Chris’ teaching HERE.
How Can I Get To Know People?
At Cornerstone, we have a strong sense of family and we invite you to be a part of it! We have a strong and growing life group ministry where you can engage with other believers in deepening ways throughout the week. Another great way of getting to know people is through our He-Brews’ coffee bar and fellowship time. Before every service, our church coffee shop is open thirty minutes before service. Come on in, sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee and fellowship with others!
