Cornerstone’s 30 Weeks of Experiencing Life Groups
WEEK 7: Humanity
Cornerstone LifeGroup
Week of November 6, 2016
“Humanity”
Open in prayer. Begin your discussion by reading the Key Verse a few times and then try and get the group to recite it from memory. Do the same with the Key Idea.
Key Verse: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
Key Question: How does God see people—the masses of humanity?
Key Idea: I believe all people are loved by God and need Jesus as their Savior
ICE BREAKER: On a scale of 1-10 rank how the following influence the way you think.
__ Television
__ Bible
__ Teachers
__ Pastors
__ Movies
__ Friends
__ Music
__ Books
STUDY: Have someone read the following verses out loud
Read: Colossians 1: 28-29
Ask: What motivated Paul to spread the gospel to as many as possible?
Read: John 3:16-18
Ask: Does God love the convicted murderer in prison as much as a Sunday School teacher? Does he love the little baby striving to survive in the Sudan as much as the Hollywood celebrity? Is there any people group that you have a hard time loving, and if so, why?
Read: Luke 14:7-14
Ask: Do you think God looks into our hearts and checks out our invitation list? Do you think that God will reward us for looking out for the lost and least in our society?
Read: Galatians 3:26-29
Ask: Who is Abraham’s seed? What does that even mean?
Read: Romans 10:14-15
Ask: Do you know of anyone in your circle of influence that needs to hear about Jesus and the salvation He offers? If so, what are you going to do about it?
APPLICATION:
Ask: How would our life change if we started to see people as God sees people?
Ask: If we refuse to show respect and love to all people, do we love people the way Jesus loves them? What can you be doing to show God’s to all people?
Close in prayer and pray for your group throughout the week!
