Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me."
For missions here at Cornerstone, we believe that we are called by God to go out and help others. Our first missions was when we took about 24 people down to Broomfield to Kids Against Hunger and packaged over 2,100 bags of food that would get shipped to Haiti or any other part of the world that may need food. Our youth group went to a feeding center and was able to feed some of the homeless. They were able to talk to some of them and hear their stories on how they got there.
- Operation Christmas Child, where we fill shoe boxes with things that children all around the world may not normally get everyday like we do.
- Christmas Caring, we help local families have a Christmas, where they get food and gifts for their children.
- Compassion Sunday, this is where a family gets to sponsor a child in a third world country. This gives a child Jesus, food, clothes and school. Hope for a future.
- We also have missionaries out on the front line that we are praying for and hope to take a team out to help them.
Psalm 96:3 "Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples."
