Sunday School
Adults
Launched in 2010, the Foundations Class is an on-going study in Christian theology that addresses all areas of the Christian faith. In it, you'll explore the major themes of the Christian faith in an environment that fosters participation and open discussion. Such grand topics include the Trinity, the Deity of Christ, Justification by Faith Alone, Divine Predestination, Eschatology (the study of last things), and much more.
We negotiate these weighty matters through the careful examination of God's word in a setting that combines lecture with open and lively discussion.
All are welcome, but be advised: the material is not for the faint of heart! Having said that, there are both high school students and great grandparents in regular attendance. So regardless of your age, if you take your faith seriously and have a desire to seek the truth, you will feel right at home.
The Foundations Class (Adult Sunday School) is starting a new course: “A Passion for Holiness”, by J. I. Packer.
Course Title: Passion for Holiness
Course Materials: You can obtain the book, by clicking here.
Where: This class will meet in person in the lower level. If you would like to join us by Zoom, click on this link to take part.
Meeting ID: 890 8569 1996
When: 9:00am - 10:00am
Synopsis: The Foundations Class will be studying the book “A Passion for Holiness” by J.I. Packer
General Summary of “A Passion for Holiness”, by J. I. Packer
A theological overview of holiness, combining pastoral insight with intense love of God.
What holiness is, and why it matters. Christian teaching on holiness has been forgotten, although it is “central to the glory of God and the good of souls.” It used to be highlighted. This book is to recover the old truth.
Holiness must be learned through experience. The process is like school or a gym, involving hard work that we don’t enjoy. Jesus is with us, as our teacher; the closer we follow him, the more we will grow.
Ryle’s 12-point description of holiness:
Come and Join us as we break fallow ground together!

Ryle’s 12-point description of holiness:
- a habit of “being of one mind with God”
- a desire to do God’s will
- striving to be like Christ
- seeking kindness and patience
- temperance and self-denial
- charity and “the golden rule”
- mercy and benevolence
- purity of heart
- fear of God
- humility
- faithfulness in duty
- spiritual-mindedness.
- My heart – the desire and passion to please God in what I do and what I avoid, in gratitude for grace
- My temperament, which I will challenge or encourage in whatever way is most like Christ
- My humanness – being human in the way the Creator intended, as Jesus was human
- My relationships – holiness does not require isolation, but is worked out in service
Come and Join us as we break fallow ground together!

Youth
Youth grades 6th through 12th meet in the main level of the church just outside the sanctuary at 9am. Study is designed to apply Biblical principles to the challenges facing our youth today. We study how scripture is just as relevant for life today as it has been for centuries past. We also participate in thought provoking games such as “Stump the Pastor”.

Children
Currently, there is no teaching time for children at 9am. There is a Children's Church during the sermon that will be downstairs with the exception of the first Sunday in which the children will stay with their families during the service. We learn many Biblical truths through the study of Bible stories and discussions designed to equip children with the necessary tools to grow in their Christian faith.
